K–5 Substitute Teacher

Schedule: As needed
Grade Levels: Kindergarten–5th Grade

Description: Provide classroom instruction and support in the absence of the regular teacher, maintaining continuity in learning and classroom culture. Substitutes are expected to uphold Coram Deo Academy’s academic standards and Christ-centered environment.

Qualifications: Teaching experience or classroom leadership experience preferred; ability to follow lesson plans and manage a classroom with warmth and clarity; commitment to supporting students and staff with flexibility and professionalism.


6–12 Substitute Teacher

Schedule: As needed
Grade Levels: 6th–12th Grade

Description: Support instruction across middle and high school classrooms as needed, ensuring an orderly, focused learning environment. Substitutes serve as an extension of the faculty, modeling maturity, respect, and academic diligence.

Qualifications: Teaching or subject-area experience desired; comfort working with middle and high school students; ability to communicate expectations clearly and uphold school policies; commitment to Coram Deo Academy’s mission and values.


🎼 Join Our Faculty as a Music Teacher

Do you love helping children discover the joy of music? Coram Deo Academy is seeking a part-time music teacher to inspire students through singing, rhythm, music appreciation, and foundational music skills within a joyful classical Christian classroom.


Grammar School Music (K–5)

September 2026 – June 2027

  • Wednesdays & Fridays
  • 9:00–10:30 a.m.
  • Kindergarten–5th Grade

Responsibilities

  • Teach engaging, age-appropriate music lessons.
  • Introduce students to quality hymns, folk songs, patriotic music, and selections from the classical tradition.
  • Develop foundational music literacy through singing, rhythm, movement, listening, and musical games.
  • Prepare students to perform in the Academy's annual Christmas Program and Fine Arts Night.
  • Foster a joyful classroom where students grow in confidence, skill, and appreciation for the gift of music.

Optional Second Semester Opportunity

Applicants may also choose to teach Middle School Choir & Music Theory during the second semester.

  • Late January – June
  • Tuesdays & Thursdays
  • 1:50–2:50 p.m.
  • Grades 6–9

Responsibilities include directing choir rehearsals, teaching introductory music theory, and preparing students to perform at the Academy's annual Fine Arts Night.

Upper School Algebra I Teacher

Part-Time Faculty Position | Second Semester 2026–2027

Coram Deo Academy is seeking a part-time Algebra I teacher to instruct Upper School students within a classical Christian classroom. The ideal candidate will love Christ, enjoy working with young people, and be able to teach mathematics with clarity, patience, order, and joy.


Position Details

  • Start Date: Late January 2027
  • End Date: June 2027
  • Schedule: Tuesday–Friday, 11:10 a.m.–12:10 p.m.
  • Course: Algebra I
  • Curriculum: Saxon Algebra 1

Responsibilities

The Algebra I Teacher will:

  • Teach Algebra I using the Academy's assigned curriculum and course expectations.
  • Help students develop accuracy, perseverance, logical thinking, and confidence in mathematical reasoning.
  • Prepare lessons, assign appropriate practice, assess student progress, and communicate student progress with families as appropriate.
  • Maintain an orderly, encouraging classroom environment.
  • Teach mathematics as part of a distinctly Christian and classical education, helping students recognize the order, consistency, and beauty of God's created world.

Qualifications

Ideal candidates will:

  • Love Christ and enjoy working with students.
  • Possess a strong understanding of Algebra I and the ability to explain mathematical concepts clearly.
  • Have teaching or tutoring experience in algebra or secondary mathematics (preferred but not required).
  • Appreciate—or be eager to learn—the distinctives of classical Christian education.
  • Be organized, dependable, and committed to helping students grow in both competence and confidence.
