Carolyn Johnson

Headmaster of Coram Deo Academy

In the fall of 2017, after nine years of homeschooling, Mrs. Johnson began teaching at Coram Deo Academy. She has a Bachelor's Degree from Bethany College of Missions in Cross-Cultural Communication and Bible.

After growing up in rural north Georgia, Carolyn lived overseas in various countries, doing mission work with teens. She and her husband, Wes, have called the Tri-Cities home since 2013, where she also serves in her church family.

In her free time, Carolyn may be seen running, improving her home, cooking and baking from scratch, in coffee or boba shops, sitting in the sunshine, and frequently eating chocolate.

Mrs. Johnson loves spending her days at CDA striving to share her joy in Christ by pointing young minds and hearts to the beauty of the gospel.

Henry Johnson - Board Member

Henry Johnson is a long-time resident of the bi-county and Tri-City areas.  He and his wife, Sandy Johnson,  were college sweethearts at Eastern Oregon College and moved to north Franklin County in 1964 shortly after their marriage that year.  He was a farmer and was engaged in that vocation as well as additional agriculture industry-related pursuits for the entire time since.  He continues to provide limited professional ag-consulting services in semi-retirement.  He and Sandy have two grown children, six adult grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

Dave Guyll- Board Treasurer

Dave grew up in Spokane in a non-Christian home and attended public schools. He attended the University of Idaho where he obtained a degree in Finance. While there, he met both his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and his wife Leanne. While in college, Dave attended the Evangelical Free Church in Moscow, Idaho. The church was pastored by Doug Wilson, who founded the Classical Christian school system Coram Deo is associated with.

Dave has used his interests and skills with finance in employment within the insurance industry. He retired from the health insurance industry, having worked in several areas including sales, administration, product development and pricing. He has frequently used his financial acumen to assist others in developing sound financial practices in their personal budgets and retirement planning.

Dave and Leanne raised three children using a combination of home schooling, Classical Christian schooling (charter members at The Oaks in Spokane, WA), traditional Christian schools and public schools. He has a broad understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of these approaches and supports classical education as superior in its goals.

He has been involved in mentoring men at pro-life agencies, taught Sunday School and has been a youth leader with middle school and high school ministries. He has also led church home groups and has served in leadership roles and is currently heading his church’s Finance committee.

Dave also enjoys sports. He competed in multiple sports through high school and introduced his wife to being a Seahawk fan. Once his children arrived, he moved into coaching, starting with T-ball to little league to church leagues. He was also able to coach his grandson in middle school football and baseball as well as Babe Ruth baseball.

Dave can be reached here by email.
